I have always desired for the boys to join Scouts. When we were in Auckland, near our house, there were Cub scouts meeting at the little church down the road. It showed on the sign, Year 3 and up. I was waiting for Noel to turn 8. Before that happened, we moved to New Plymouth. So that plan just sat at the back of my mind until on one of our visit to The Warehouse earlier this year, we saw that one of the body that received the donation from sale of plastic bags at The Warehouse was SCOUT. I got interested again, and googled about them. I didn't take any further action apart from googling where they are meeting and days of week.
We then moved suburb, so finally at the beginning of this term, I enquired on the Scouts website. They got back to me within 48 hours the night before the meeting. So we went for a trial night, the boys loved it! Below, they were getting invested as a kea. Kea is the youngest group of scout ( 5 to 7 yo)
