Goodbye Bell Block

So much has happened.  We bade farewell to our lovely place at Bell Block last Saturday.  Our landlady decided to put the property for sale.  That initiated our search for a new place.  We looked at buying, building and in the end stuck with renting. 

The search was pretty intensive, we were trawling Trademe every single day, almost every hour in the weekend checking for new listings, and went to inspect quite a number of properties. We decided to move into town, and initially I wanted to contain my search in 3 streets to be close to the boys' school.  Alas, after much prayer, we moved to somewhere in town that is close (<4km) from city centre but a little further for me to drive to get to my work.

We even had nick names for some of the properties ie Horrible Toilet, Old Charmer, Spaceship and Villa etc.. We brought the kids to Old Charmer and were so close to renting it, but did not. We signed up for Spaceship but were told after a couple days, the property had already been rented out.   I was gutted but you know what, God always provides.

P Mike gave us a hand with his truck on moving day.  The boys got a treat to ride in his truck. 

 

A little sad to leave Bell Block, I can't walk now and I will miss the library and The Warehouse, and the dollar store all tucked nicely in the suburb. Oh well, onto new adventure..
